I’m wearing Sandro from top to toe! Opening Ceremony heels and Chanel bag
As you know I found a new sunglass brand while in LA, Garrett Leight. I’m happy to have gone for a California based company, Vencice based to be exact. Garrett Leight is the son of the founder of Oliver Peoples so there’s a heritage of frame-making in the family.
Inspiration 1: I’m inspired by this look. Short denim cut offs combined with a long silk shirt. I have a few silk shirts that feel are too ‘dressy’ most of the time but this is a great way of making them more relaxed. Only wish it could stop being so freaking cold in this country some time soon. Fall wardrobe in June does NOT feel inspiring…
Yesterday it was announced that Maison Martin Margiela will be H&M’s next design collab. It’ll be interesting to see how the sleek Belgian esthetique will be translated into H&M budget versions. Collection in stores November 15
I found th cutest little candy store in Covent Garden a while ago. They sell all sorts of nice gifts such as a box with chocolate teddies - with custard filled tummies! You can also pick and miz candies from glass jars behind the counter, just like an old school candy store. Very, very nice. Shame I forgot the name of it (close to the Covent Garden tube station)
Back in London and the cold, I am sure the tan won’t last very long. It’s been a good weekend despite the depressing weather. Checked out my first dance class at Pineapple Studios on Saturday. It was so hard but I am not giving up! The evening was spent with one group of friends at the Westbourne, then off for dinner at Galicia on Portobello Road.
Last stop on the LA tour was Am Rag (American Rag). They have a great selection of casual wear including all denim brands you can imagine but I had reached my shopping threshold. And my piercing was hurting (I’m not as thick skinned when it comes to these things as I was when I was a teenager) so we left empty handed. Next stop was the airport. By bye LA, see you very soon I hope!!
